Kiln dApp update: bringing your suggestions to Ledger Live

Your insights, suggestions, and experiences have been invaluable in shaping the evolution of our dApp in Ledger Live, so thanks a lot for sharing them with us. We've listened to your feedback, and combed through every comment, email, and review, and today, we're proud to present an update that reflects our commitment to delivering an even more seamless and enjoyable experience for all of you. And it’s only the beginning!

In this latest update, our primary focus has been on enhancing the user experience when staking ETH. We've also streamlined the reward claim workflow, introducing a key simplification that ensures a smoother and more straightforward process for stakers with dedicated validators.

What’s changed?

Simplified ‘Stake’ dashboard

We've decluttered the page and streamlined crucial information, such as details about the validator activation queue, the current amount you have staked, and available ETH. No more overwhelming text to read!

The result is a cleaner and more efficient user experience, ensuring that you can access the most important information with ease.

Optimization of reward claims from multiple validators

In situations where you are claiming rewards from multiple validators with varying reward compositions (e.g. one with only consensus layer rewards and another with both consensus and execution-layer rewards), our latest update seamlessly chains together the reward claim transactions for a more streamlined and efficient process.

In this scenario, the system will automatically prompt you to sign successive transactions, eliminating the need for manual intervention. Previously, users had to either manually check all validators or risk having the claim transaction solely address consensus layer rewards. With this update, the process is now seamless and ensures comprehensive reward claiming without any additional user effort.

But we are not stopping here

Next, we are moving on to the ‘Rewards’ page to focus on big improvements to the validator and pool exit process, including the reward claim workflow.

We would love to hear from anyone who is interested in participating in the design phase to help shape these improvements. If you are interested in working with us, please email support.ledger@kiln.fi to register your interest and will be in touch in the following few weeks.
