Kiln integrates Chainlink CRE and Chainlink ACE to power next-generation onchain yield products
< BlogKiln has integrated the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) and Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) to power institutional yield products, starting on Base with support for Ethereum, BNB Chain, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Polygon to follow.
Over the past few years, we've built infrastructure powering staking for leading institutions and protocols across the digital asset ecosystem. In 2025, we crossed $16B in assets delegated across 30+ PoS chains. As we build out for the next growth phase in demand for yield, this integration enables us to deliver products with the security, compliance, and automation our clients need.
Building the infrastructure for institutional onchain yield
We're using CRE and Chainlink ACE to create yield products designed for institutions that need transparent, compliance-focused access to yield strategies.
CRE is the secure global orchestration layer that enables us to create and execute workflows across blockchains with built-in data connectivity, compliance-enforcement, privacy, and security. Leading institutions like Swift, UBS, and Aave are already using CRE to unlock new possibilities in the onchain economy.
With CRE, we can:
- Execute vault logic in a decentralized compute environment: vault operations run within CRE without reliance on centralized keepers, enabling transparent and tamper-resistant execution across chains

- Automate query and settlement workflows: CRE listens to real-time events and triggers follow-up actions automatically, removing the need for manual intervention

- Publish Net Asset Values (NAVs) onchain: NAVs are calculated and verified offchain, then written onchain through CRE's secure consensus flow, ensuring only authenticated data is published for transparency

Chainlink ACE complements our vault execution infrastructure by enabling permissioned access with embedded compliance-enforcement. It's a standards-based compliance framework powered by CRE that allows us to define, execute, and enforce compliance policies across blockchains in a privacy-preserving, auditable way.
With Chainlink ACE, we can:
- Build once, enforce everywhere: apply consistent rules across assets and chains via the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) Compliance Extension, which connects tokens to Cross-Chain Identity (CCID) and the Policy Manager
 - Turn policies into code: use the Policy Manager to codify controls like allow/deny lists, RBAC, volume/time limits, and secure mint functions with onchain enforcement
 - Reuse trusted identity: support reusable, privacy-preserving credentials compatible with standards like LEI/vLEI, ONCHAINID, and DIDs
 - Operate with oversight: get alerts, audit logs, and policy-driven reactions through the Monitoring & Reporting Manager
 - Ship faster: leverage a Compliance Sandbox, 12 audited policy templates, and SDK/API/CLI tools

By combining CRE's decentralized execution with Chainlink ACE's embedded compliance-enforcement, we can launch permissioned DeFi vaults that offer transparent onchain yield while meeting operational and regulatory expectations.
What this means for institutions
For custodians, exchanges, wallets, and asset managers, this integration unlocks access to permissioned DeFi vaults with programmatic compliance built in.
Whether you're offering stablecoin yield to end users or managing treasury strategies, the infrastructure is designed to work across chains without manual processes.
"We're excited to integrate the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) and Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) as critical components for bringing a new generation of onchain asset management products to market. With CRE, we can execute institutional strategies securely and transparently, while ACE enables the access controls and compliance policies that institutions require. Launching these new products serves as a model for how secure, permissioned DeFi can scale across ecosystems."

“It’s great to see how Kiln leverages both the Chainlink Runtime Environment and Automated Compliance Engine to enable secure execution and embedded compliance in its newly launched yield products. This is a strong example of how institutional users can leverage onchain yield strategies while meeting high standards for automation, compliance, and control.”

About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and powering the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi). The Chainlink stack provides the essential data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards needed to power advanced blockchain use cases for institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since inventing decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has enabled tens of trillions in transaction value and now secures the vast majority of DeFi.
Many of the world’s largest financial services institutions have also adopted Chainlink’s standards and infrastructure, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, ANZ, and top protocols such as Aave, GMX, Lido, and many others. Chainlink leverages a novel fee model where offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise adoption is converted to LINK tokens and stored in a strategic Chainlink Reserve. Learn more at chain.link.
